Fix It Fun November 9
ARE YOU A FIXER?
The second Fix It Fun community repair event co-hosted by the
Bennington County Solid Waste Alliance
and the
Bennington Free Library will be held
Saturday, November 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at the Bennington Free Library
Volunteer fixers are needed to fix household items that community members bring for repair. All kinds of fixers are welcome, including clothing and fabric, small appliances, small furniture, toys, electrical items, jewelry, and more!
Anyone wishing to volunteer at Fix It Fun must complete the Volunteer Packet and return it before November 1 to the Reference Desk at the library, or you can email a scan of your completed paperwork to reference@bfli.org
Community repair events reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill by promoting repair and reuse. Instead of throwing items away, we can appreciate the value in our possessions by reusing them, which saves money and resources, and contributes to a more sustainable society.
