Who supports the Bennington Free Library? You do! Donations support library services, community education, children’s and adult programs, and preserve our historic buildings. Each year the library raises 25% of its budget through the annual book sale, community group donations, and an annual fundraising campaign. You can become a part of that effort right now!

May I donate stocks or securities?The Bennington Free Library is happy to consider any donation you are willing to make to support services and programs for the community. Please contact the Library Director at (802) 447-2587

Will I receive a tax receipt for my gift?Online donations made with a credit card will receive an immediate confirmation and electronic receipt. If you donate by check, you will receive a tax receipt statement for amounts of $250 or more along with a donor acknowledgment letter by mail.

What about corporate matching gifts?Your employer may have a matching gift program, matching their employees’ contributions dollar for dollar. Your $100 gift could be increased very easily in this manner.

Are there other ways I can help?The library is always looking for volunteers. Applications are available at the Circulation Desk.
